Waterloo is along the route the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train takes to Chicago each year. It doesn’t stop in town but that doesn’t make it less magical when those neon lights flash and the horn sounds. The train will pass through town late on November 30 – or early Dec. 1, 2018. (last year it came at 12:15 a.m.)

We’re starting at 8 p.m. on the 30th to wait for the train and have some community fun. We’ll have food, beverage and market vendors, games, horse-drawn wagon rides and light entertainment.

We have limited parking at the depot so an old-fashioned trolley will take riders from Waterloo Elementary, New Hope Church and the First United Methodist Church parking lots to the activities.  Dress warm!

Please, be safe around the tracks and keep your distance.

Artists and crafters: get a jump start on Holiday sales by participating in Waterloo’s block party held in anticipation of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. We’re planning to set up the depot and large heated tents, open our park pavilion and make room for lots of activity with food & beverage sales and an art market.  We’re also seeking entertainers.  Be a part of the most affordable Holiday market in northeast Indiana and enjoy holiday magic as the holiday train cruises through Waterloo.

The deadline is extended for sponsors, artists, crafters and vendors. To sign up, or for more information, click here: Holiday train registration 2018  Mail or email the form to townmanager@waterlooin.gov, Waterloo Town Hall, PO Box 96, Waterloo IN  46793.
