Citizen Academy

The Town of Waterloo invites you to participate in a Citizen Academy! If you have ever wondered how the Council makes decisions on behalf of the residents, this program is for you.
As part of the Citizen Academy, you will embark on an eight-month journey, attending sessions for two hours each month. During this time, you will learn about the workings of local government and gain insights into how the Town of Waterloo operates.
The sessions will begin in April at the Town Hall, where you will be introduced to your elected officials and the budget reviewed. Subsequently, we will visit a different department each month for two hours. During these visits, you will have the opportunity to meet the Superintendent and learn about how each department operates.
If this sounds like something you want to participate in, please call Pam Howard at 260.837.7428 or stop at Town Hall and pick up an application at 280 S Wayne Street.
