Waterloo Fire Department

Our Full-time/Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Waterloo is proud to announce a major milestone in public safety: in January 2025, Waterloo hired its first two full-time firefightersFire Chief Kirby Hobbs and Firefighter Eric Floehr. This marks a new chapter in our commitment to protecting residents and enhancing emergency response capabilities.

Waterloo continues to be served by the dedicated Waterloo-Grant Township Volunteer Fire Department, which also covers parts of Smithfield Township. Our firefighters are highly trained and ready to respond to a wide range of emergencies with professionalism and care.

To maintain peak readiness, the department holds:

  • 🗓️ Monthly Meetings: Second Sunday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
  • 🧑‍🚒 Weekly Training Sessions: Every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

We thank all our firefighters—volunteer and full-time—for their service and dedication to keeping Waterloo safe!
