The Waterloo Town Council approved an update to the Sewer Use Ordinance at the April 9th, 2019 meeting at the Waterloo Grant Public Library.

Sewer Use Ordinance Updates
To the taxpayers of Waterloo, Indiana. You are hereby notified that on April 9, 2019, the Waterloo Town Council, DeKalb County, pursuant to notice heretofore given, duly adopted an update to the Waterloo Sewer Use Ordinance (SUO) and it was ordained by the Town Council of Waterloo that Codification Chapter 51 be amended to create two separated chapters: Chapter 51: Sewer and Chapter 52: Water.
No changes were made to the Water Service ordinance.
The Town administration has reviewed the SUO and made changes to update limits on pollutants as are required or recommended by the EPA; revised and updated its SUO regulating the connection to and use of public and private sewers and drains, the installation and connection building sewers, and the discharge of waters and wastes into the public sewer system of the Town of Waterloo and providing an improved process for enforcing the Ordinance;
The Town Council of Waterloo did not impose any rate changes at this time. The updated SUO is posted on the town website for public viewing at www.waterlooin.gov or the documents are available at Waterloo Town Hall, 280 S Wayne Street, between 9:00-4:00 pm Monday-Friday.
